When you get engaged, perhaps the important decision you’ll make — besides who you’re marrying — is your wedding date. As you and your fiancee sit down to discuss when to wed, you’ll want to have a calendar handy. But what you’re also going to need is a list of dates that you shouldn’t get married. These include holiday weekends and other days that might cause some trouble. If you’re planning a 2018 wedding, here are some dates you might want to avoid.
1. Personal or Local Dates
Check your calendar for conflicts such as other weddings, family reunions, birthdays, and anniversaries. Also, check your municipal calendar for days when your city might be more crowded, such as conventions or festivals. On these days, it might be more difficult to find venues and parking.
In planning your wedding, you’ll also want to have a list of other potentially troublesome days, like birthdays or anniversaries, that you wouldn’t necessarily want to share your anniversary with every year.
