6. Cutting the Cake
Most often, the wedding cake is cut toward the end of the reception, during the last hour. If you choose to wait on your first dance until then, you could cut the cake before or after this. This is the time for things to wind down and for people to enjoy coffee and relaxing, signaling for guests that it’s okay to begin filing out soon.
