When it comes to wedding etiquette, most people think about the wedding party and all the planning that goes into such an event. But if you’ve been invited to a wedding, there are certain rules of propriety you’ll likely be expected to follow. Here are a few of the common blunders you’ll want to avoid.
1. Forgetting Your RSVP
Put yourself in the place of the hosts. How can they plan appropriately if they don’t have an accurate headcount? If the invitation says to RSVP, you need to do so as soon as you know whether or not you’ll be attending. Sometimes the hosts will ask for an RSPV for “regrets only.” If that’s the case, you only need to notify them if you won’t be attending. Either way, it’s only polite to take the appropriate action by the requested date, if listed. Don’t make them call you.
