7. There May Be Specific Forms
Depending on where you live, you might have to fill out a more generalized request form to get your name changed. Check your city and state requirements long before your wedding so you know what to expect. They should be able to give you a list of papers to have and places you’ll need to visit. Anything that can be done before the wedding, do it. It’ll make the whole process of changing your last name a whole lot easier.
